The Narcissist

I’m narcissist, my life, euphoric.
I’m down with a disease—I wonder if it’s devastating or chronic.

I walk with a stiff upper-lip,
your confidence, life force, is what I love to clip.

My friendship is terse,
sparkles like a forgotten curse;
Forsaken and lost, such is my life’s verse.

People, values, and ideas are all so pretentious,
I have me for myself, all that’s precious.
